<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure transparency by horizontally holding a sign plate for measuring the transparency of liquids. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When the sign plate 2 is tilting from a horizontal direction, the lengths of both sides of upper threads 6a between an upper connecting part 7 and the sign plate 2 is becoming unbalanced, and the length of an upper thread 6b between the upper connecting part 7 and the sign plate 2 is becoming unbalanced. Lower threads 9a and 9b intersect with the upper threads 6a and 6b approximately at right angles, so that either one of the lower threads 9a and 9b comes loose, and the other is excessively pulled. This causes a balance between the two lower threads 9a and 9b to be lost to return the tilting sign plate 2 to its original horizontal state. When the sign plate 2 is tiling along the contact direction of the lower threads 9a and 9b with the upper surface of the sign plate 2, either one of the upper threads 6a and 6b comes loose, and the other is excessively pulled.
