<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record only an important part corresponding to a photographing scene with high image quality. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Important areas such as a main object whole body area, a completely invariable area, a partially invariable area, a face area and a whole body area and the other unimportant area are identified, and the image quality or image data amount of an unimportant part is reduced by deleting the color data of the unimportant area and reducing the tone, luminance and saturation of the unimportant area.
