PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update the importance of document data related to input image data among a plurality of items of document data stored in a storage unit in response to the input of the image data. SOLUTION: A server system stores a plurality of items of document data. When scanned image data or facsimile-received image data is input, related document data related to the input image data is specified from among the plurality of stored items of document data, and the importance of the specified related document data is updated.
