PURPOSE: An image projection apparatus is provided to display an optimum image matches a screen rate to a screen by selecting a light tunnel corresponding to the screen rate. CONSTITUTION: An image projection apparatus comprises the following: a plural light tunnels(321,322) selectively passing through the light radiated from a light source; a composing system(37) synthesizing the light passed through the light tunnel by an image signal; a projection lens(38) projecting the light synthesized from the composing system; beam path control mirrors(331,332) controlling a light path to pass the light through the light tunnel; and fixed mirrors(341,342,351,352) included in the entrance and the exit of the light tunnel.
