PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, an image forming apparatus, a computer program, a recording medium, and an image processing method, for output of a manuscript having a plurality of pages assigned to a manuscript image by a predetermined state. SOLUTION: An assigned manuscript determining unit 204 determines whether a manuscript image is an assigned manuscript image to which a manuscript having a plurality of pages are assigned. A manuscript dividing unit 205 divides an image into assignment units when the manuscript image is the assigned manuscript image. A manuscript direction detection unit 206 determines a vertical direction relating to each of divided images. A manuscript correcting unit 207 corrects the divided images by performing processing such as magnification processing, rotation processing, etc. relating to each of the divided images in response to a vertical direction, the number of assignment, and an assigned state. A display-print command generation unit 208 performs generation processing of a display command for displaying in every divided image in a correct vertical direction, and the generation processing of a print command for printing by the assigned state (a state before assignment).
