SOLUTION: The tire-state estimator includes a tire lateral slip angle estimating section for calculating the estimated tire lateral slip angle value, based on an estimated tire lateral force upper limit value and a measured vehicle state value; a lateral force upper limit estimating section for calculating an estimated tire lateral force upper limit value, based on a measured tire self-aligning torque value; and the estimated tire lateral slip angle value calculated by the tire lateral slip angle estimating section.
