<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus, program, method and system for measuring a position, which enables respective devices in an information environment to acquire position information, without using any central processing unit and without performing any heavy communication. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Own-device position information representing a coordinate of the own device in a coordinate system to which other device belongs, is calculated by using a coordinate represented by other-device position information and a distance included in relative position information of the other device stored in a memory section, and if such a determination that the own device moves on the basis of the calculated own-device position information is made, a movement notice representing the movement of the own device is sent to the other device mutually, and then when the movement notice is sent from the other device, the other-device position information and the relative position information of the other device are deleted from the memory section. Even in the case where a positional relation between devices is varied due to the device movement, therefore, the own-device position information is calculated without using any invalid list data existing before the movement, thereby enabling the own-device position information to be obtained exactly and rapidly.
