<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airtight terminal for an igniter free from contact of an ignition bridge with a base even when the force to be pressed to a base face side, is applied to the ignition bridge connected in being assembled as the igniter. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this airtight terminal, an intermediate section of the ignition bridge 6 is not brought into contact with a metallic base first main face 1a, as an insulating lead top section 4a and a sealing glass top section 3a act as supports even in a case when the force to be pressed to the metallic base first main face 1a side is applied to the ignition bridge 6 connected over the insulating lead top section 4a and the metallic base first main face 1a around the sealing glass 3 by the sealing glass 3 and an insulating lead 4 projecting from the metallic base first main face 1a by a dimension of B.
