<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propeller shaft capable of securely facilitating fracture of the propeller shaft together with fracture of a body in the event of crash and sufficiently revealing energy absorption effect by the body while satisfying a maximum weight reduction effect. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The propeller shaft includes an FRP cylindrical body including a peripheral direction reinforced winding layer by reinforced fiber at an end part and a constant velocity joint connected to a driving shaft of a driving source. The FRP cylindrical body includes a primary layer extending along the entire length thereof and a partial layer integrally formed with the primary layer and provided inside the primary layer. The constant velocity joint is provided with a compressive load transmission part for separating the primary layer and the partial layer by concentrating a compressive load acting in an axial direction of the constant velocity joint between the primary layer and the partial layer.
