<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture book which can easily take the feeling of a child in infancy in a tale in the picture book and enables the child to feel as if characters coming into play in the picture book could talk to oneself when reading the tale to the child. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The picture book is configured so that under condition that the picture book 1 is closed, a cutout 6 over the front cover 2, respective pages 4 and the back cover 5 of the picture book 1 is formed from a back cover 3 side being the back side of the picture book 1, and under a condition that the picture book 1 is opened, an opening 7 penetrating through the book from the front to the back of the book across the throat 10 of the book over the left page 4a and the right page 4b, is formed.
