<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method and a coating system wherein a nozzle can be easily moved to a desired position by securing a sufficient moving range of the nozzle for applying a coating material, the coating material can be quickly fed to a coating device and simplification of a system can be achieved. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The coating system 10 includes the coating device 24 for coating a workpiece W with the coating material and a feeding device 26 provided separately from the coating device 24 for feeding the coating material to the coating device 24. In the coating system 10, a pouring port 48 of the coating device 24 is moved and connected with a feeding port 74 of the feeding device 26, the pouring port 48 and the feeding port 74 are made to communicate with each other to feed the coating material. After completion of feeding, the coating device 24 and the feeding device 26 are separated from each other, and then the coating device 24 is moved to a desired coating site of the workpiece W.
