<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rail vehicle including a cabin floor support mechanism for reducing noise emitted from the floor into the cabin, without degrading treading comfort when walking on the floor, without a significant increase in weight and cost. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a method for supporting the cabin floor 22 of the rail vehicle, the cabin floor 22 is divided into a passage part 15 and other parts 16. A cabin floor support members 230 for supporting the cabin floor 22 are configured such that the passage part 15 and the non passage parts 16 respectively have separate support parts 231, 232, and stiffness of rubber cushions 26e for supporting the cabin floor 22 at the support parts 231 is made greater than the stiffness of rubber cushions 26f for supporting the cabin floor 22 at the support parts 232; thus, the stiffness of the support for the passage part 15 is made greater than the stiffness of the support for the other parts 16.
