PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soundproof cover of a wheel for a railroad vehicle, easily installable in a plate part (for example, a corrugated plate part) having various shapes, effectively reducing a rolling sound and a squeak sound (a creaking sound) generated from the plate part, by enhancing the vibration control, sound absorption and shielding effect, and also reducing a manufacturing cost by reducing processing manhours. SOLUTION: This soundproof cover 1 of the wheel W for the railroad vehicle has a wheel structure 7 composed of a boss part 4 supported by a wheel shaft, a rim part 5 contacting with a rail R and the plate part 6 for connecting these boss part 4 and rim part 5, and is characterized in that the wheel structure 7 is provided with a viscoelastic layer 2 contacting with an outside surface of the plate part 6 and a vibration control steel plate 3 for restricting the viscoelastic layer 2 between the plate part 6 and itself.
