摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy storage device that reduces a possibility of a combustion loss of an output switch on the occurrence of a short circuit and a ground fault. SOLUTION: The energy storage device includes: the output switch 37 electrically connected between an energy storage unit 31 and an output terminal 21; a current detection circuit 35 connected to the energy storage unit 31; a control circuit 71 which turns off the output switch 37 when a current I detected by the current detection circuit 35 exceeds a prescribed range; an overcurrent determination circuit 63 connected to the current detection circuit 35; a timer circuit 67 connected to the overcurrent determination circuit 63; and a forcing switch 65 connected to the output switch 37 and the overcurrent determination circuit 63. When the current I exceeds the prescribed range, the overcurrent determination circuit 63 controls the forcing switch 65 so that the current does not flow to the output switch 37 during a prescribed period ts which is determined by the timer circuit 67.
