PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive for a toner and a toner for giving stable favorable images for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The additive for a toner includes an aqueous dispersion or an organosol containing at least either fine particles of a tetrafluoroethylene-perfluoro(alkylvinylether) copolymer having an average particle diameter of 0.05 to 1μm or fine particles of a non-fibril forming tetrafluoroethylene polymer having an average particle diameter of 0.05 to 1μm.
