PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unnecessary resistance generation by enhancing reliability of electrode leading of a capacitor. SOLUTION: The capacitor comprises: an element 1; anode/cathode current-collecting plates 2 and 3 joined to electrodes of the element 1; a metallic case 5 which houses the element 1 and has the cathode current collecting board 3 bonded to its internal bottom surface; a terminal plate 4 arranged in an opening of the metal case 5 by joining the anode current-collecting plate 2 to the internal surface; and sealing rubber 7 for insulating and sealing the terminal plate 4 and the metal case 5. A joint part 5a for the cathode current-collecting plate 3 is provided at a portion of the internal bottom surface of the case 5, and a gap is provided between the joint part 5a and the cathode current-collecting plate 3. Consequently, reaction force of metal steam applied to molten metal molten by laser welding is discharged to the outside through the gap to hardly cause a hole opening defect, so welding conditions can be widely set and then a welding state becomes stable to prevent hole opening and unnecessary resistance generation, thereby improving reliability associated with electrode leading.
