PURPOSE: A system for selecting a preliminary suitable area of picking soil using a GIS(Geographical Information System) and a method thereof are provided to perform topography analysis by a DEM(Digital Elevation Model) to produce location information according to geological features and soil features, thereby selecting a preliminary suitable area of picking soil. CONSTITUTION: A collecting unit(100) collects geographic information for selection of a soil digging place and soil digging restriction distance information. A restricted area setting unit(200) sets a soil digging restricted area according to the soil digging restriction distance information through an extracted layer. A topography analysis unit(300) analyzes topography by overlapping of the restricted area and the geographic information. A controller(500) controls the collecting unit, the restricted area setting unit and the topography analysis unit. |
