Rotation of a supporting plate is stabilized by reducing the inertial moment of the supporting plate when the diameter of a sheet roll is decreased. A reel device comprises a boss (21) provided on a rotating shaft (20) and fitted by being inserted into a sheet roll (DR); a supporting plate (30) abutting against one side face (DRa) on the machine base side of the sheet roll (DR) on the axial inside of the boss (21); and a retaining member (22) abutting against the other side face (DRb) of the sheet roll (DR). The supporting plate (30) is provided with an inner plate (31) which is set to have a predetermined diameter and having an inner abutting surface (32); and an outer plate (35), which is provided closer to the machine base side than the inner plate (31), has a diameter larger than that of the inner plate (31) and has an outer abutting surface (36), which faces the outside of the outer circumference of the inner plate (31) in the diameter direction and is flush with the inner abutting surface (32) of the inner plate (31). The inner plate (31) is fixed to the rotating shaft (20) to rotate together and the outer plate (35) is fixed rotatably to the rotating shaft (20).
