PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly put a container cap to a mouth even if the mouth to which the container cap tightening head is put has an inclined posture or is set off in the center. SOLUTION: A container cap seaming head 21 of a tightening device includes a suspending means 22 and a chuck means 23 suspended at the suspending means 22 and is provided with a transmission means for connecting the suspending means 22 with the chuck means 23 and transmitting the rotation of the suspending means 22 to the chuck means 23. The transmission means arranges the chuck means 23 in such a way that the chuck means can be displaced in a horizontal direction with respect to the suspending means 22 and in an axial direction of the suspending means 22, and is formed of a plurality of pins 31 protruding from the suspending means 22 in a downward direction and a plurality of free-fitting holes 39 enabling the pins 31 to be displaced in a horizontal direction.
