<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition which is used for treating, improving, controlling or preventing insulin resistance, hyperlipemia, diabetes and obesity, is obtained from a raw material originated from natural products, has high safety, and has CB1 receptor-inhibiting activity, and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a food and a medicinal composition which each contains a cassia extract and cinnamic aldehyde of raw materials originated from natural products, as a CB1 receptor-specific antagonist/inverse agonist, and is effective for treating, improving, controlling or preventing metabolic syndromes and the like; and the method for producing the same. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
