<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium and an optical recording/reproducing apparatus using a super resolution technology and capable of using and adjusting optimal recording power and/or optimal reproducing power of information while securing low-order compatibility of the device. <P>SOLUTION: A signal of management information includes pits not smaller in size than optical resolution, and by using an optical disk playable by a reproduction method of a conventional optical disk technology, an optical disk drive adjusts recording and/or reproducing based on management information of a control data area (CDA), especially adjusts optimal recording power and/or optimal reproduction power of a super resolution region which is a user data area (UDA). When the optical disk drive records information or reproduces information from the optical disk having the super resolution region which is the user data area (UDA), proper recording and/or reproduction adjustment is performed, and proper recording and/or reproduction is performed in an information area for recording and/or reproducing user information of the optical disk. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
