<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus where a sheet stacking device is integrated with a double-sided conveying part of a double-sided conveying device, so as to solve a problem that a user pulls out the sheet stacking device by mistake when jamming occurs in such a state that a leading edge of the sheet material reaches an image forming apparatus body, consequently, the sheet material is torn by load or the sheet material is left inside the image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the double-sided image forming apparatus A forming an image on both surfaces of the sheet material P, the double-sided reversing and conveying device 10 which reverses and conveys the sheet material after forming an image on a first surface comprises a double-sided reversing mechanism 13 and a double-sided conveying mechanism 14, which are installed at the rear of the image forming apparatus body B and at the lowermost position of the image forming apparatus body B.
