PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high density carbon nanotube aggregate obtaining an electrode or the like having excellent capacitive characteristics and a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The highly densified carbon nanotube aggregate having 600-2,600 m<SP>2</SP>/g specific surface area and 0.5-1.5 g/cm<SP>3</SP>density is obtained by mixing a prescribed quantity of carbon nanotube in a prescribed quantity of isopropyl alcohol and stirring the mixture to obtain a dispersion solution, treating the dispersion solution under an ultra-high pressure at 100-280 MPa, filtering and drying the resultant high dispersion solution to form a sheet and rolling the sheet at pressure of 0.01-100 t/cm<SP>2</SP>.
