PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple-disc clutch comprising a thrust member, a clutch spring, a clutch lifter, and a lifter plate, with costs reduced by eliminating the need for preparing a special clutch lifter for each of clutch bearings different in size. SOLUTION: The multiple-disc clutch includes the thrust member movable in the axial direction to compress a driving friction plate and a driven friction plate and adapted to be rotated together with an output shaft, the clutch spring for energizing the thrust member in the axial direction, the clutch lifter arranged coaxially with the thrust member, and the lifter plate held on the outer periphery of the clutch lifter via a clutch bearing for moving the thrust member in the opposite direction to the energizing direction of the clutch spring in response to the axial movement of the clutch lifter. In this case, the clutch lifer 51 consists of a lifter pin 52 coaxial with the thrust member 18, and a dish-like holding member 53 formed as another member than the lifter pin 52 and mounted on an intermediate portion of the lifter pin 52.
