<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high shut-off performance stop cock capable of securing high shut-off performance and being easily installed in an injection hole, in a stop cock installed in a backfill material injection hole of a soil/water pressure resisting structure such as a sealed segment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The high shut-off performance stop cock 10 includes a stop cock body 11 inserted in the backfill material injection hole 2 and a ring-shaped shut-off rubber 12 arranged between the stop cock body 11 and the inner surface of the backfill material injection hole 2. A male screw 13 fitted in a female screw 4 in the backfill material injection hole 2 is formed at the outer circumference of the shut-off rubber 12, and a tapered face 14 extended to the stop cock body 11 is formed at the inner circumference. A tapered face 15 becoming narrower toward the shut-off rubber 12 is formed on the outer circumference of the stop cock body 11. The diameter of the shut-off rubber 12 is increased by forcing the tapered face 15 of the stop cock body into the interior of the tapered face 14 of the shut-off rubber. Thus, the male screw 13 of the shut-off rubber 12 is brought into close contact with the female screw 4 of the backfill material injection hole 2 without a clearance.
