<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve element body (body casing) strength in a surface-mounted piezoelectric vibration device using a brazing filler metal and to prevent a leakage defect (airtightness defect). Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the surface-mounted piezoelectric vibration device 1 provided with a base 2 for holding a piezoelectric vibration element 4 and a lid 5 bonded to the base in order to airtightly seal the piezoelectric vibration element held by the base, for the bonded area with the lid of the base, a metal ring 3 is attached through a first brazing filler metal 61 to the upper part of a metallized layer at least, and the base and the lid are heated, melted and bonded by using the first brazing filler metal and the second brazing filler metal 62 of a different material, with the lid arranged on the upper part of the metal ring.
