<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a document region that is an image region of a document, in input image data on the basis of the input image data obtained by reading the document. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An image processing device includes: a document inclination/size detection section 15 for detecting the position of an edge of a document in input image data; a display section 7 for displaying thereon an image corresponding to the input image data; an instruction input section 8 for receiving an instruction input, from a user, regarding the position of the edge of the document in the image displayed on the display section 7; and a document size adjusting section 16 for specifying a document region in the input image data on the basis of the position of the edge of the document detected by the document inclination/size detection section 15 and the position of the edge of the document instructed by the instruction input.
