<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic pigment which can give sufficient water resistance to a cosmetic pigment, imparts wet touch, is excellent in reactivity with a pigment, easily disperses in a hydrocarbon solvent, and is prepared into a lowly viscous formulation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The surface of a pigment is coated with an alkylalkoxypolysiloxane represented by chemical structural formula (1), provided that in the formula, R<SB>1</SB>to R<SB>3</SB>are each a saturated hydrocarbon group with one or more carbons; and R<SB>4</SB>denotes a methoxy or ethoxy group.
