<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a roll brush which is used for scrubbing/cleaning a glass substrate for magnetic disks is deteriorated with time since the roll brush is used with high frequency and the cleaning capacity of a scrubbing/cleaning apparatus is also deteriorated, since a main cause of the deterioration of the cleaning capacity of the scrubbing/cleaning apparatus, which main cause is different from the conventional ones, is found out. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Both ends of a brush are pressed to a brush shaft by stoppers to enhance the degree of adhesion of the brush to the brush shaft and consequently the brush and brush shaft hardly run on idle.
