An aqueous inkjet ink having reduced water content by blending a water-soluble solvent with low polarity therein, wherein pigment dispersion stability is improved by a simple process and excellent on-press stability is achieved. Specifically disclosed is an aqueous inkjet ink containing at least water, a water-soluble organic solvent with low polarity, a pigment, and if desired, a basic substance. The aqueous inkjet ink is characterized in that water accounts for 60% or less of the total amount of the ink, the water-soluble organic solvent accounts for 15% or more of the total amount of the ink, and the pigment contains a self-dispersible pigment which has an anionic functional group in the surface, while having a quaternary ammonium ion represented by formula (1) as a counter ion thereof. The basic substance is contained in an amount sufficient for making the pH of the ink to be 9-11. (In the formula, R1, R2, R3 and R4 each independently represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group.) |
