摘要 <p>The invention relates to a method for controlling the ignition and/or injection for each cylinder (1) in an indirect-injection gasoline internal combustion engine of an automobile, the engine comprising n cylinders (1) having the reference signs 1 to n, the consecutive reference combustion cycles of two cylinders (1) being offset by a period P, the cylinders (1) being supplied with air by an intake manifold (7) connected to each cylinder (1) via an intake duct (8), wherein the rotation of the engine is measured by a system (15) for measuring the rotation angle of the engine. In said method, when a failure of the system (15) for measuring the rotation angle of the engine is detected, the combustion top dead centers following the failure are determined from predetermined time intervals (d) based on the engine speed, the engine speed being in turn determined based on the time interval (T) between two consecutive pressure extrema in the intake manifold (7), and the ignition and/or injection is/are then controlled on the basis of the determined combustion top dead centers.</p>
