HARDCOAT FILM, PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SAME, AND ANTIREFLECTION FILM COMPRISING SAME

Provided is a hardcoat film which is for use in optical applications such as a polarizer-protecting film for liquid-crystal displays and has a hard coat layer for improving surface hardness.  The hardcoat film has high hardness and excellent flatness.  Also provided are: a process for producing the hardcoat film; and an antireflection film.  The process for hardcoat film production includes a step in which a hardcoat layer applied to a resin film base (1) is cured by irradiation with an actinic radiation while keeping the coated film base (1) stretched on a back-up roll (2).  When the film base (1) is stretched on the back-up roll (2), the film base (1) located on the film-base introduction side is regulated so as to have an areal pressure (P) in the range of 250 Pa=P=3,000 Pa.  Examples of means for regulating the areal pressure (P) of the film base (1) to a value in the specific range include a compressed-air blowing nozzle (11), a suction-type back-up roll, and a vacuum suction nozzle (13).
