<p>The armchair (1) has a seat (14) and a safety bar that extends transversely over the seat. The safety bar is pivoted from an opened position in a closed position. A footrest (11) is arranged at the safety bar by a mounting bracket (12). The mounting bracket extends from the safety bar to the footrest downwardly in the closed position of the safety bar in center area of the seat.
