The device has a brake flap (6) that is folded out in an air stream that blows to a vertical tail (4). The brake flap is provided with feed through units (7, 8) for increasing an impulse of air during waking of the brake flap. One of the feed through units (7) is arranged in a body distant area of the brake flap, and exhibits a trapezoid shaped cross sectional profile in the body distant area of the brake flap. The feed through units are formed of slots provided in the brake flap. The slot runs along a longitudinal axis from the body proximity end to the body distant end. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing the aerodynamic resistance at an aircraft. |
