Desulfurizing a charge comprising oxygenated compounds, hydrocarbon compounds and organic sulfur compounds, comprises sulfur collection on a mass collection comprising iron oxides or zinc oxides and more than 20 wt% of zinc ferrite, where the process is performed in the presence of hydrogen at a temperature of 200-400[deg] C.
