A lug cap remover (10) includes a lug cap removing device (30) including first and second retaining portions (31 and 32) and a hook (35) formed on a free end of the second retaining portion (32), and the hook (35) is utilized for removing a lug cap (90) from a wheel fastener, and the first and second retaining portions (31 and 32) are utilized for holding the lug cap (90) during removal of the lug cap (90). Additionally, the first and second retaining portions are parallel one another, and the first retaining portion includes a first axial length (L1) and the second retaining portion includes a second axial length (L2) not greater than the first axial length (L1) so that, when the first retaining portion abuts a surface, the second retaining portion is safeguarded by the at least one first retaining portion from hitting the surface.
