<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recording system wherein video images over a wide range can be acquired and recorded under simple configuration and processing and at the same time, video images of a desired scene can be acquired and recorded with a high resolution. <P>SOLUTION: A video recording system is characterized in that it includes: a first imaging means for acquiring a wide-angle video image; a second imaging means, constituted of a plurality of cameras, for synchronously acquiring a plurality of video images photographing predetermined areas different from each other; a plurality of microphones for inputting audio; a sound source detecting means for detecting the position or direction of a sound source based on the audio inputted by the plurality of microphones; a video image selecting means for selecting, from among the plurality of video images acquired by the second imaging means, a video image corresponding to a microphone specified based on the position or direction of the sound source outputted by the sound source detecting means; and a recording means for recording the wide-angle video image, at least one of the video images acquired by the second imaging means and a corresponding relation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
