PURPOSE: A system for capturing a broadcast screen and transmitting a captured broadcast screen and a method thereof are provided to include a captured particular scene of contents in a multimedia message after capturing the scene and transmit the multimedia message to a mobile terminal or a receiver or a broadcast terminal. CONSTITUTION: An IPTV contents providing server(20) offers digital broadcast contents. A broadcast terminal displays broadcast contents of a channel which is selected by a user. If broadcast screen capturing is requested from a user terminal, an IPTV capturing server(30) requests a broadcast screen provided through the broadcast terminal to the IPTV contents providing server.
