Optical display system

The device (1) has a number of light sources (2) e.g. LEDs, arranged within a motor vehicle such that the light emitted from the light sources arrives from the front in a direction of eyes of a motor vehicle driver. The light sources are partially controllable independent of each other and partially cooperate for outputting of information to the vehicle driver. The light sources are arranged next to each other. A control device (20) allows the temporal activation of the light sources one after another.
