PURPOSE: An inverter is provided to detect the damage of a lamp by using the induced voltage of a ferrite core. CONSTITUTION: An Inverter comprises a driving part(120), a transformer(130), and a protection circuit(150). A driving part supplies the input AC current to a load. The transformer comprises a bobbin(131) and a ferrite core(138). The bobbin includes a first and a second coil winding part. The ferrite core passes through the inner hollow part of the first and second coil winding part of the bobbin. The ferrite core is made of the MN-ZN ferrite. The protection circuit controls the on/off of the driving part according to the size of voltage.
