PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for processing an image based on first input are provided to be applied to mobile devices such as a mobile phone, a PDA and a smart phone which needs multi touch and an embedded system based on a touch panel. CONSTITUTION: A method for processing an image based on first input comprises the following steps. An apparatus for processing an image based on first input selects an image editing mode by analyzing a touch locus on a touch screen(S103). The touch locus is set as a base coordinate(S104).
