The present invention refers and provides a method for correcting bumps in metal sheets used in vehicle bodies, which comprises sectioning the affected area and subsequently a first and second series of specific effort points located on the backside of the affected zone of the sheet, said points being performed using the tip of a conventional hook and pressure in some effort points located at the front-side of the sheet using a conventional hammer and spade. The present invention also provides a preliminary series of effort points used in the affected areas, which comprise a character baseline.
