METHOD OF CLEANING AIR DIFFUSER APPARATUS

A method of cleaning an air diffuser apparatus at the filtrate recovery from a solid-liquid mixing processing liquid. Air diffuser apparatus (15) includes at least one air main pipe (18) connected to deaeration blower (B); a liquid supply piping joining the midstream of the air main pipe (18); branch pipe conduits (25) horizontally connected through gas supply pipe (16) branched from the air main pipe (18); and multiple air diffusion pipes (17) having multiple air diffusion orifices opening substantially vertically downward, horizontally disposed perpendicularly to the branch pipe conduits (25). The gas flow rate within the branch pipe conduits is set so as to fall in the range of 1 to 8 m/sec, and the liquid supply rate within the branch pipe conduits is set so as to fall in the range of 0.03 to 0.2 L/min/mm. By virtue of this construction, the air diffusion pipes can be cleaned at any timing without stopping of drainage treatment to attain efficient removal of solid sludge adhering to and clotting the air diffusion orifices of the air diffusion pipes (17) attributed to gas/liquid mixture fluids.
