PURPOSE: A semiconductor disk apparatus and a data processing method thereof are provided to improve the read and write speed by controlling the read/write operation of a buffer memory using a buffer manager. CONSTITUTION: A buffer memory(120) temporarily saves data which a host and a non-volatile memory device exchanges. Unit data is transmitted to the non-volatile memory device or a host as soon as it is inputted to the buffer memory. A buffer manager(130) controls unit data to be transmitted according to a streaming mode. The buffer manager comprises the streaming control part(140) which activates and controls the streaming mode. The register set stores the set up information of the streaming operation. A streaming control logic executes the streaming mode referring to the set up information.
