METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FLOAT GLASS AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing float glass and a manufacturing apparatus are provided to reduce failure such as tin drop, tin pick-up, and top speck which are generated due to tin oxide and to reduce the failure of bubble(bottom open seed) by reducing dissolved oxygen within a molten tin bath. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing float glass comprises the following steps: discharging a part of a molten tin to the outside of the molten tin bath; removing the oxygen included in the molten tin by spraying oxygen removal gas including hydrogen on the molten tin; returning the molten tin without oxygen to the molten tin bath; and manufacturing the float glass by floating the glass onto the molten tin.
