The present invention refers to a device for detecting seisms, which is able to detect any seism in a time interval of 7 to 15 minutes before people detect the telluric movement, which allows people to save their life. In particular, this device includes two electrodes: an oscillating pendulum electrode of high sensitivity being the peculiarity of the invention since it detects seisms during the first instants of the secondary waves generation, which will produce an oscillatory motion when said secondary waves are detected; an inverted and flexible contact electrode having a spring-dampen operation for retaining from about 0.3 to about 0.5 seconds the mechanical contact produced by the pendulum electrode, where said contact sends an electric signal to an electric control circuit in order to activate an alarm for warning people of a seism, also including a plastic fixed base and a stone gypsum mobile base.
