PURPOSE: A compressor in which a valve assembly and a cylinder block adhere closely to one another without a gap is provided to increase the efficiency of a compressor by maintain the adhesiveness state of the valve assembly and front cylinder block. CONSTITUTION: A compressor(10) comprises a head, a cylinder block, and a valve assembly(14). A discharging room is formed inside the head. The cylinder block is combined with the head. A plurality of cylinder bores is formed inside the cylinder block. The cylinder bore compresses the refrigerant which is selectively connected to the discharging room and is inhaled using a piston. The valve assembly is installed between the head and the cylinder block and selectively connects the discharging room of the head and each cylinder bore. The compacted refrigerant is transferred to the discharging room.
