摘要 The invention relates to foundry engineering. A method of manufacturing hollow metal billets from non-ferrous metals and alloys by horizontal continuous casting is based on continuous stepwise filling by liquid metal of working cavity formed for a hollow billet by a graphite bushing and a graphite mandrel followed by step-by-step continuous hardening the billet during its cooling using a copper jacket, in the case step-by-step continuous filling of the cavity for billet by liquid metal is directed bottom-up along the cross section of cavity for hollow billet, and simultaneously next step-by-step continuous hardening of metal in the cavity for hollow billet is performed which is also conducted bottom-up due to local increase of heat removal increase local in the upper central part of graphite bushings at additional cooling of the upper central part of copper jacket. There is also disclosed a device for implementation of the claimed method. The invention allows to produce hollow billets, which have high mechanical properties.
