FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: individual quantitative assessment of risk of developing atherosclerosis manifestations is ensured by preliminary screening study with evaluating the biochemical, immunological, physiological and clinical indices to be subjected to the discriminant analysis. Weighting coefficients and an offset constant are derived for each index. The values of integral health level index are determined for each examined patient as a weighed total of all derived indices multiplied by the relevant weighting factor and the added offset constant. The dependence of the prevalence on said integral index is established. The operative stage of said method involves evaluating the same indices as those from the preliminary stage. The derived indices are used to calculate the integral index with the weighting coefficients and the offset constant derived at the preliminary stage; the prevalence is determined by the dependence of the prevalence evaluated at the preliminary stage on the integral health level. The prevalence is used to assess risk of developing atherosclerosis manifestations. ^ EFFECT: method improves the information value and consistency of early assessment of risk of developing atherosclerosis manifestations. ^ 2 cl, 1 dwg, 3 ex |
