METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF COATED CHILL MOULDS, IN PARTICULAR FOR CASTING OF BRAKE DISK

FIELD: technological processes. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of casting production. Method includes application of coating layer onto inner surfaces of upper and lower semi-chill moulds with application of master pattern and their assembly. Dosed volume of sand-clayey mixture is supplied to master pattern of upper and lower semi-chill moulds. Mix is pressed accordingly by upper or lower semi-chill moulds, in which through channels are arranged. Channels are arranged at the distance that equals two diametres of channels. Pressing of sand-clayey mix is carried out to produce specified thickness of coating layer and partial fill of through channels in upper and lower semi-chill moulds with excess of sand-clayey mix. Prior to assembly of semi-chill moulds, sprue bushing is installed into upper semi-chill mould. ^ EFFECT: invention provides for retention of coating mix on surface of chill mould, improved gas permeability, manufacturing of high quality moulds without bleached layer. ^ 6 dwg
